What do Lions do?

We are the Bridgehampton Lions Club, an extension of the International Lions Organization. Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.

Our club is proud to have sponsored Seeing Eye Guide Dogs for the past sixteen years. We have sent fourteen guide dogs into the lives of their sight-impaired masters. This is quite an accomplishment for such a small organization. We could not have achieved these good works without the wonderful generosity of you, our partners in charity.

Our club has created the annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, which is held at the Bridgehampton Community House in October. We are responsible for Santa Claus’s annual journey to the Bridgehampton Library to share his gifts with the community’s children in December. We also sponsor local Little League teams.

The Bridgehampton Lions enthusiasm for charitable community participation does not stop with these activities. Additionally, we support East End Hospice, Food Pantry, Lions Eye Bank, Bridgehampton Child Care Center, The Bridgehampton Library, The Nathanial Rodgers House, Dominican Sisters, and Habitat for Humanity.

The Bridgehampton Lions Club needs and greatly appreciates any and all of your support to continue to provide free community events,
